Latin Church in Egypt mourns death of Sister Matilda Emil
The church said Sister Matilda Emil was a member of the Sisters of Our Lady of Love of the Good Shepherd.
The Latin Church in Egypt said on 26 September 2026 that Sister Matilda Emil of the Sisters of Our Lady of Love of the Good Shepherd has passed away.
The church, which is headed by Metropolitan Claudio Loreti and his deputy Monsignor Antoine Tawfiq, is mourning the death of Sister Matilda Emil, the church said. The mourning includes the participation of priests, monks, nuns, and the faithful of the Apostolic Vicariate, according to the statement.
