Pope Tawadros II meets priests and families, church says
Anba Maximus, the General Bishop of the sector, expressed thanks to the Pope for his interest in the priests and their families, the church said.
The Coptic Orthodox Church said on 14 October 2026 that Pope Tawadros II met with priests from the Madinet al-Salam and al-Harafiyyin sector and their families. The meeting took place following the weekly Wednesday meeting and occurred in the presence of Anba Maximus, the General Bishop of the sector.
Anba Maximus expressed thanks to Pope Tawadros II for his interest in meeting the priests, checking on them and their families, and following up on their service, according to the church. Anba Maximus also reviewed the services provided by the churches in the sector, which include medical services for all residents in the area.
Pope Tawadros II listened to and answered questions from the priests and their wives regarding service, pastoral work, and the personal and family life of the priest, the church said.
