Egyptian Prime Minister inaugurates digital media center, Coptic Solidarity says
Mostafa Madbouly met with Grand Mufti Nazir Ayyad to discuss the expansion of Dar al-Ifta and its new international digital platform, according to the report.
In a report published on 4 November 2026, Coptic Solidarity said that Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the Ministry of Awqaf's new Center for Digital and Media Production on 2 November.
The center will utilize artificial intelligence to create religious, cultural, and awareness content for audiences both domestically and internationally, the report said. According to the government's official account, the center currently has the capacity to produce about 1,000 films per month, with plans to increase that to 3,000 films and video clips per month. The center's workforce is expected to expand from approximately 40 to 150 specialists in artificial intelligence, design, and digital media.
Madbouly met with Grand Mufti Nazir Ayyad at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to discuss the expansion of Dar al-Ifta and its new international digital platform, the report said. Nazir Ayyad presented HASIN—the International Fatwa Reference, which is a digital platform and mobile application intended to establish Egyptian Dar al-Ifta as an international Islamic authority. Using artificial intelligence, HASIN will allow users to ask questions in natural language and search for answers in nine different languages, the report said.
The grand mufti informed Madbouly of plans to create new Dar al-Ifta branches in Port Said, North Sinai, and South Sinai, the report said. He said the purpose of the new material was to "immunize society" against challenges found on social media. Madbouly instructed the Ministry of Awqaf to produce material "abundantly" and ensure it reaches all segments of Egyptian society, according to the report.
