The Intercultural Dialogue Forum at the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services said on 9 October 2026 that it has launched the "Community Leadership for Promoting Social Cohesion and Sustainable Development" program. The organization said the program aims to prepare community leaders for dialogue and interaction with community issues and local challenges.

According to the organization, the program seeks to enhance awareness and develop skills and practices regarding effective dialogue, leadership, management, and citizenship. It said the initiative aims to support social cohesion by providing spaces for learning, dialogue, and the exchange of expertise to help participants understand and contribute to their communities.

The organization said the program began with a needs assessment workshop at the Coptic Evangelical Organization headquarters in Cairo. The workshop involved representatives from Greater Cairo and the governorates of Minya and Alexandria, the organization said.

During the workshop, participants held interactive discussions on prominent issues and challenges facing local communities to identify needs and priorities for the upcoming stages of the program, the organization said. The workshop also resulted in the production of several short video clips addressing issues discussed by working groups, which reflected participant perspectives on community challenges and priorities, the organization said.
