Catholic Church in Egypt reports meeting between bishops of al-Qusiya
The meeting included a dialogue session on social challenges and the importance of time, the church said.
The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 12 September 2026 that Anba Markos William, Bishop of the al-Qusiya Coptic Catholic Diocese, received Anba Thomas, the Coptic Orthodox Bishop of al-Qusiya.
A dialogue session was held during the meeting to address contemporary social challenges, primarily the challenges of family and upbringing, the church said. Discussions also focused on the value of time as a divine gift and the need to direct the energy of youth and believers toward building souls and society rather than futile matters.
Anba Markos expressed appreciation to Anba Thomas and prayed for the endurance of the bonds of love and brotherhood in the service of Jesus Christ, according to the statement.
