The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 19 September 2026 that Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac, Patriarch of Alexandria of the Coptic Catholics, will preside over the opening Mass of the new pastoral year 2026 – 2027 for the Patriarchal Eparchy. The liturgy is scheduled for 6:00 PM on 26 September at Saint Anthony's Cathedral in Faggala.

The Eparchy is inviting priests, monks, nuns, members of various churches, and apostolic activities to participate in the celebratory Divine Liturgy, the church said.

The church said the theme reflects the importance of liturgical life and gathering around the altar as a fundamental axis in the life of the Church and its pastoral mission.
