The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services said on 8 September 2026 that it participated in a coordination meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was held to review the achievements of the Family and Child Development Centers in the Sohag and Beheira governorates, which the National Alliance for Civil Development Work has assigned the organization to operate.

According to the organization, it is preparing to receive the new school year at its assigned centers by planning to open 10 nursery and kindergarten classrooms. This represents a 100% increase compared to the previous year. The organization said it has completed preparations for studies, which included cleaning and disinfecting buildings and preparing educational tools, games, and sports equipment.

The organization said planning is underway to organize a celebration coinciding with the launch of the first semester at these centers. The event is intended to reflect a model of integration between government institutions and civil society, according to the organization.
