The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 31 October 2026 that it is celebrating the sixth anniversary of the episcopal ordination of Bishop Claudio Lurati.

Monsignor Antoine Tawfiq, Vicar General of the Latin Church in Egypt, the Consultors of the Apostolic Vicariate, the Pastoral Office, various institutions, church activities, and all members of the Latin Church in Egypt—including clergy, monks, nuns, youth, and the faithful—extended congratulations to the Bishop, according to a statement from the church.

All members of the Latin Church in Egypt prayed for the Bishop to be granted peace, goodness, grace, and wisdom, the church said. The statement added that the members asked for God to bless his ministry and support his pastoral mission in service to the Church, its children, and Egyptian society.
