Catholic Church in Egypt participates in priests and pastors conference
The 11th annual conference of the Priests and Pastors Committee was held under the patronage of His Grace Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac, the church said.
The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 3 November 2026 that several priests participated in the opening of the 11th annual conference of the Priests and Pastors Committee at the Council of Churches in Egypt. The church said the event was held at Saint Mina House in Ebbar under the theme "Repairer of Breaches" and was held under the patronage of His Grace Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac.
Father Boutros Anwar, the pastor of the Holy Family Church in Fayoum, delivered a lecture regarding the primary challenges facing priests in their family lives. Father Boutros Anwar said that the family should act as a small church reflecting the image of the Body of Christ and must be able to face challenges with faith and responsibility.
Participants expressed condolences and recalled the memory of the late Hegumen Bishoy Fawzy, the former pastoral vicar of the Patriarchal Diocese. The participants noted that he left an influential impact on the work of the committee.
