The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 5 October 2026 that the fifth Chanters' Day conference was held at the Monastery of the Virgin Mary for the Franciscan Fathers in Mokattam. The conference focused on the theme, "How good and how pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)."

Bishop Claudio Loretti, Bishop of the Latin Church in Egypt, sent an encouraging message to members of the choir groups in the Sudanese service in Egypt for the conference, the church said. Activities began with a Divine Liturgy presided over by Father John Limmy, followed by an educational session regarding the importance of unity and love among chanters and the role of chanting in serving the Church and the community.

On the second day, three lectures were presented, according to the church. The second day also included chanting segments from three parishes and the presentation of appreciation gifts to the lecturers.

The third day concluded with the participation of four parishes and the "Harmoni" group, who presented spiritual hymns, including works inspired by the words of Saint Francis of Assisi, the church said. The conference ended with a Divine Liturgy celebrated by Monsignor Antoine Tawfiq, Vicar of the Latin Church Bishop in Egypt, who delivered a sermon stating that chanting is an expression of faith and a message for the community.
