The Catholic Church in Egypt said on 8 September 2026 that His Grace Anba Pachom, the Patriarchal Vicar for Patriarchal Diocese affairs, participated in the annual Geo Maria conference. The conference was organized by the Lady of the Apostles and Lady of Salvation councils and was held under the patronage of His Holiness Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac under the slogan “Do you love me?”.

The conference took place from 3 September to 5 September at the Holy Family House in Alexandria, the church said. The event involved Father Mikhail Rushdi, the council's mentor, and Monsignor Francis Nweir, pastor of the Sacred Heart Church in Heliopolis.

According to the church, His Grace Anba Pachom presided over the opening Divine Liturgy prayer and delivered a lecture titled “Who am I to become a servant?”. Monsignor Francis Nweir presented a meeting on “How does God see me”, while Father Youhanna George, pastor of Saint Michael Church in Alexandria, spoke in a lecture on the topic “Shepherd my flock”. Father Mikhail Rushdi referred to the conference slogan in his speech, the church said.

The program included a workshop by Brother Jean Henry, president of the Lady of the Apostles council, titled “Why do we serve?”, the church said. The schedule also included daily Divine Liturgy, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the recitation of the Rosary mysteries, and spiritual hymns led by singer Sylvia Odeh.
